Order on amazon and arrived with 7 days, yes it wasn’t cheap yet it was every penny easy to control easy to change.

Dual function wheelchair

Previously, I had a large powered wheelchair. When the batteries failed my wife was unable to push it as it was so heavy. My present dual function wheelchair is light enough that it can be pushed if the batteries fail. Moreover, it can be propelled by the push rings on the large wheels by the occupant so an 'escort' is no longer necessary.

Albeit my previous 'chair's batteries failed at 13 months, I've had this 'chair for just over 6 months with no problems. The 'chair is very comfortable; I've used it for a long time without discomfort. It is easy to control both the speed (one can select the speed from quite slow to the 6kph max) and the joy stick on the controller is not so sensitive that it's difficult to steer a straight course.

When driving, as with all disability carriages, one needs to observe the topography of the pathway. Having said that, I've had no problems on the paths I've traveled along including the odd stretch of grass! In keeping with most products for the disabled, the 'chair can be adjusted to suit most needs. The width of the seat can be set as can the length of the leg supports and the height of the arm rests. I've opened email communications with the company in Malaya. They are very polite and helpful.

My one concern was that the battery charger became very hot which is evidently quite normal and not a problem (it has not scorched the carpet or left a mark on the sideboard!).
