ROMA Reno 11 powerchair for part-time use.

5 out of 5 stars

I bought this as my mobility is deteriorating, to see if it was possible to use a wheelchair in my 40 year old bungalow, which has standard narrow doorways and one narrow corridor. It is a compact and manoeuvrable powerchair and has proved able to get to most areas of the house.

I find it very comfortable to sit in for several hours. It makes a great chair for my study as I don't have to keep standing to reach files.

My only problem is getting over door sills - it is a rear wheel drive - and the front castors tend to turn, sometimes quite significantly and change the direction of the chair. This can cause problems in a narrow doorway. Otherwise I am very pleased with it. It has been Crash Tested to ISO 7176/19 for carriage in a vehicle.

The Reno’s swivel action allows the chair to be adjusted to the left or right a full 90º and the flip up armrests enable an easy transfer on and off the powerchair. It has a turning circle of just 80 cm which allows it to be easily manoeuvred.
