Expensive "but your worth it!"

5 out of 5 stars

Yes its expensive at over £4k but the fact that it is portable has made it a worthwhile investment.
I have had it for 4 years and travelled all over with it, including abroad, over rough ground at National trust properties, over beer cans at pop festivals, up & down hills etc. So it has meant I could join in with family & friends whatever/wherever.
It comes apart and fits in the boot of our car - no hoist or mini van needed. Initially I chose this as I could manage it by myself but my MS has got worse and I need help taking it apart, lifting all the parts in the car and then re-assembling it myself ... so it would be better if it was lighter.
It copes with rough terrain, hills, beachside paths, rain, bad dropped curbs and slight steps & tube train gaps (if you reverse the big rear wheels can manage more than the smaller front wheels).
Plus it is smart enough to use in the office, with retractable arm when sitting at a desk.

Out and about

Over £200

The benefit for us has been that it comes apart so that it can be packed into the boot of our car. The biggest/heaviest part is the actual chair.

We have given the poor thing a really hard time - at pop festivals etc and (so far) it has never let us down. The only problem is when going downhill on a rough/loose terrain eg paths with small gravel - when it cant get traction it can skid slightly.

It is expensive but it was the only one we could find that we could fit into out car and the way it has allowed me to join in activities with family & friends has been priceless. So if you can afford it then its a great investment - life is short!
