Pet hair gone.

I own two Bernese Mountain Dogs. They are long haired with triple coats and seem to be constantly shedding hair all over. After trying vacuum cleaners from Hoover through to Dyson and getting pain after vacuuming my floors, I needed a lighter machine. I bought the G-Tech K9 vacuum. What a difference in weight. First thoughts were that it was quite flimsy. After charging the battery I started on the floors, almost a daily operation. All the hair was picked up from the laminate flooring and the carpet. There are no little brushes for edging but that was handled by the smaller hand held vacuum with car accessories. Cobwebs and furniture was also dusted and on completion of my chore I had little pain. I rate the G-Tech as a very superior machine, lightweight, very easy to keep clean and empty the dirt chamber. The battery charges quickly and lasts a long time as their ad mentions. This definitely rates five stars.

At last a vacuum cleaner I can use!!!

I have MS (multiple sclerosis) which causes me to experience high levels of fatigue, mobility difficulties (I use crutches) & poor balance. Therefore using a vacuum cleaner has been a huge challenge for me for over a decade now. That was until I took a punt & bought myself a Gtech AirRam vacuum cleaner.

I'd seen the TV adverts & was hopeful that a lightweight, cordless vacuum cleaner on four wheels would help to make vacuuming a household chore that I could do once more. I was so pleased when it arrived, because it definitely lived up to my hopes & expectations!

The Gtech AirRam is a lightweight, cordless vacuum that is relatively easy to push across laminate flooring, as well as carpets & rugs. This means that I can push the vacuum with one hand while still using a crutch in the other. Compared to my old corded vacuum cleaner which was bulky, heavy & difficult to manoeuvre, this is a distinct improvement.

The AirRam can change direction easily by guiding the handle in the direction you want to move & even lowers down so that you can reach under pieces of furniture (height permitting of course!).

The AirRam doesn't need a fiddly vacuum bag, instead it has a see-through, removable collection bin at the front. I love this, as you can easily see when it needs to be emptied & is removed just by pulling upwards. I was concerned that I would struggle dexterity-wise with emptying the bin, but the process is fairly straightforward & I manage to do it in a matter of minutes. The empty bin then slots back into the vacuum cleaner with a push & click. The vacuum battery pack can either be charged in situ or the battery unit slides out of the vacuum, so that it can be charged elsewhere.

Overall, I like the fact that the Gtech AirRam MK2 K9 feels robust, it stands upright when not in use & it feels like a lot of thought has gone into making it as user-friendly as possible. I still get my home cleaned, but it means that I can maintain things in between cleans independently & it's indispensable as a pet owner.
